Get off the ski lift, breathe in the cold, fresh winter air. The sun is shining in a cloudless sky, so put your skis on and off you go – being first on the freshly prepared slope is a dream, with perfect conditions, fantastic snow and clear pistes: a ski holiday straight out of the book.
And when slowcoach Dad is again the last to get down to the valley today, we’ll roll him in the snow, OK?

Our local mountain, the Kronplatz, is a true winter paradise. As South Tyrol’s Number 1 ski area, it is ideal for all levels of ability. It can be reached in less than 10 minutes with the free ski bus that stops in front of the hotel. Everyone is sure to find their favourite piste here, whether you are an expert skier or a newcomer to the slopes. With 41 slopes of varying levels of difficulty, the Kronplatz is a ski area for all the family. At the valley station there is the Dolomit Family Hotels’ heated and lockable ski and ski boot depot, free for guests to use. It is also easy and convenient to buy your ski passes directly from the hotel – no queuing at the ticket office, no bulky ski gear in the shuttle! And, making the Kronplatz even more family-friendly, children under 8 years of age ski for free (when an adult ski pass is purchased).
And the icing on the cake (or perhaps the ice cream sundae) is the breathtaking view that the Kronplatz offers of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And of the Alpenhof.

Curving down the slope on powder snow.
Sounds perfect. But what if your technique is not what it should be? Our partner, the Kron Ski School, offers a wide range of ski courses for young and old, beginners and advanced skiers.

And, for all those who are up for it, three times a week our guests can join professional guides free of charge to visit the finest locations in the Dolomites, making for example the famous Sella Ronda into a truly unforgettable experience.

The various snow parks, such as the Easy Park and the Jib Park, let you practise your jumping and 360 techniques. Jumps against a fantastic mountain backdrop
The real highlight for snowboarders on the Kronplatz is the halfpipe on the edge of the Belvedere piste, cut three metres deep into the snow: perfect for jumps into the blue sky against the breathtaking panorama of the South Tyrolean mountains.
